I was expecting top notch and that's what I got. I don't like fried pickles but wow, they were amazing! As for the spinach salad, obsessed. Not going to lie, I came almost just for the martinis and they did not disappoint. I tried 3 different ones..all so good!! Filet mignon cooked just the way I wanted..and what a different thing to try the wasabi mashed potatoes! I just want to add that our waiter, James b was absolutely just wonderful. One of those waiters you feel like you want to tip 100$. Kudos 👏
Toasted Frog never disappoints! They have been doing a phenomenal job for longer than a decade. It is the old faithful where both food and service have always been excellent. In our very top favorites in Grand Forks.
So good!! The cheesy pickle appetizer is a MUST, it’s so delicious. The truffle fries are also bomb! We split the frog BLT and were not disappointed. The staff was very attentive and they also had a great beer selection. Would definitely go back to try more of the menu!

This review is going to be EPIC! Classy beautiful Jesse and genius Casey have been working at The Toasted Frog for 16 years, which is as long as I've been a patron of this fine establishment. The good is consistently perfect, the first sip on any drink is familiar and nostalgic. I liv in Maine and every year I come back for a visit to Grand Forks I stop in for my favorites. Coming up on 20 years of the finest establishment in Grand Forks, keep up the amazing job that you all do! PS Shawn, I'll take you fishing once I get a boat😉
Fun place down town. Fish tacos were awesome! Enjoyed a very ice dinner with my son. Got there around 4:30 ish. No problem getting a table on a Friday night.
Love the food. The pickle and cheese was our favorite. A must get. From the salad to to the main course was a greatness of wonderful new taste and comfort. I think all the foods would be great. I wanted to try them all. I have the tuna sandwich. Great flavors with a touch of space. My wife had the wallie with rice. Too Lemonanie but good.
RECOMMENDED! It’s my boyfriend and I’s second day in North Dakota (we’re from Michigan) and we’ve never visited ND before and I’m very glad the very first restaurant we tried here was The Toasted Frog! Was $130+ for two person! Portion and food IS GREAT! The only slight negative I would give is the space — this place needs more space, it’s like everyone has to squeeze in and out.
The food is always on par at The Toasted Frog. For quality, consistency, and a child-free dinner, this is the place to be. They have a great selection of cocktails, beers, or mocktails. Note-dinner is a slowed-down experience. Don't try and rush yourself. The service is always fantastic.
We had an amazing experience here. I had a few banana bread old fashioneds. My wife tried various martinis and enjoyed them all. The fried pickles that are mentioned in reviews are worth it. We both had one of the specials for our main course and they were to die for. The blackened tua was one of the better meals I've ever had.
